Neighborhood EnergyFit Pilot Program
Interested in lowering utility bills and increasing comfort inside your home? This is the program for you! Anaheim Public Utilities and ConSol are partnering to implement the Neighborhood EnergyFit Pilot Program in a select area of Anaheim. The area chosen for the first phase of the program is in the eastern part of zip code 92804 (bounded by Lincoln Avenue, Euclid Street, Katella Avenue, and S. Brookhurst Street).
Neighborhood Concept
Homes in a given neighborhood are typically built in the same general time period, with comparable construction techniques and similar features, and therefore would likely benefit from similar energy upgrades. Assessments of select homes will confirm the unique features of the neighborhood and help create the most cost-effective custom energy-efficiency packages. Participating homeowners will select from the three packages, according to their energy usage and budget needs. A contractor, selected on the basis of qualifications, history, scheduling ability and pricing, will meet with each interested homeowner to conduct a visual audit, provide financing options and rebate information, and confirm participation in the program. The contractor and homeowner will enter into a contract on the agreed scope of work and schedule the energy upgrades. ConSol will provide oversight and quality assurance testing.
ConSol, a lead for the Department of Energy’s Building America program, is partnering with Anaheim Public Utilities to bring energy efficiency retrofits to your neighborhood. www.ConSol.ws
