Certificate of Compliance
2005 CF-1R Form:
The certificate of compliance lists the building features and specifications needed to comply with Title 24 energy code in California as well as required inspections and diagnostics. The certificate of compliance report is created in an electronic format and is signed by your Title 24 consultant and sent to the builder to submit to the jurisdiction and a home energy rater organization (i.e. CHEERS, RESNET. . . ) if inspections are required.
Installation Certificate
2005 CF-6R Form:
Installation certificates are required for each and every dwelling unit. When the installation of measures that require field verification and diagnostic testing is complete, the builder or the builder’s subcontractor shall complete diagnostic testing in compliance with any California Energy Commission testing specifications. When the installation is complete, the builder or the builder’s subcontract shall complete the CF-6R, and keep it at the building site for review by the building department. The builder also shall provide a copy of the Installation Certificate to the HERS rater for any measures requiring field verification and diagnostic testing.
Certificate of Field Verification & Diagnostic Testing
2005 CF-4R:
Once the rater receives a copy of the CF6R from the builder, the HERS rater does the required testing, signs and dates the CF-4R as well as the CF-6R and gives them to the builder. Once the builder receives the CF-4R and the CF-6R, he then provides copies of the forms to the building department as part of the final inspection. The building department will then provide a certificate of occupancy for the home.
Installation Certificate (Photovoltaic)
2005 CF-6R-PV Form:
Installation certificates are required for each installed PV system. When the installation is complete, the PV installer must perform the field verification and diagnostic testing procedure. The PV installer shall also provide a copy of the Installation Certificate and any other proof of installation details to the HERS rater so that they are able to verify the installation performance and shading specifications.
Certificate of Field Verification & Diagnostic Testing (Photovoltaic)
2005 CF-4R-PV Form:
The HERS rater enters the CF 6R-PV information into the rater registry, does the required testing, signs and dates the
CF 4R-PV form and gives it to the builder.
